There was a time when I could barely find 20 people to speak to at a time. We’d crowd in to banquet rooms at restaurants, or the smallest meeting rooms at the local Hyatt. Of course, today, I find myself standing in front of audiences ranging from small to thousands, and I realize that the opportunity to use the platform is a powerful gift.
When I think about “The Perfect Stage,” I think about some of the rooms that I’ve spoken to, and some of the people that have sought me out after my presentation. Some would laugh, some would cry, many would hear my words and thank me for the chance to participate in the business or wealth-building opportunity that I would present to them. It’s not about the microphones or the sound system, the lighting or the catering, the closing ratio or the number of filled seats. The Perfect Stage is when you’re able to connect with an audience of one. The fact that there are 50 or 500 people in a room is inconsequential; if you really want to master the art of stage speaking, you want to get to the point where you’re communicating with those people on a one on one basis.
That’s what I strive to achieve every time I get up on stage. Sometimes I don’t achieve the result – but for the times that I do, I am rewarded with the satisfaction of positively impacting that person’s life. I hope you’ll enjoy that same satisfaction in your speaking career as well.

A thoughtful and insightful ideas I will put to good use. You’ve obviously spent some time on this. Congratulations!
